My name is Gavin Vernon, I am currently a student at Brownell Talbot School. I am also the founder of nonprofit---The Youth for a Better Living, Inc. I started this nonprofit because of an experience I had witnessed that included an employee at my father's company.
My father found out that an employee that works part time for him was homeless, jumping between motels with her young daughter, this really spoke to him so he offered her and her daughter a place to live so she can work. This impacted her life greatly. I saw how impactful this was for her and it inspired me to help more people in just the same way. So, I created this nonprofit called The Youths for a Better Living.
I had recently learned from administrators of Rai Som School locate in Chiang Mai, Thailand and felt a need to help out. This school helps children that were forced to run away from their home country of Myanmar, due to a Civil war. This school currently has 168 stateless children, yet they have no facilities, no restrooms and classrooms. I would like to make a first contribution to this school by raising around 6,000 dollars to build two male and two female bathrooms. Please consider helping out these stateless children.
Our next goal will be putting desks and chairs to the classroom for this group of Children,

I will be visiting this school in 2023 summer and next few years and keep contact with the officers in the school and other local volunteers to make sure this project and more projects will be done. Our organization will also be selling products in the near future. All proceeds of these products will go to the renovation of this school. We are also collecting some donation items to sell help to change the lives of these children.
